How to define permissions with Gapsquare fairpay.

This feature was developed to empower employees to manage and monitor data relevant to them, without giving company-wide fair pay information to all users within your Fairpay® account.

There are now four levels of access

Manager Access: Full access to the account and the ability to manage permissions and the access of others.

Contributor Access: Full access to the account but without the ability to manage the permissions assigned or add other users.

Read Only Access: User can only read or look at the particular data for which you have read only access.

No access: Great for preventing team members from seeing particular groups of data, or ending access when it is no longer needed, this function will stop a user from accessing a particular data group.

How it works

In the upper toolbar at the top right of your dataset manager you will now see an icon symbol representing two people (the icon will appear upon opening the Gapsquare FairPay® dashboard). Give that click. A pop up entitled “Access Level” will appear and show you the range of users you have on your account.

You can apply broad changes to the permissions of specific users at this point.

How to change permissions on a folder

To decide who can access a particular folder simply click the three dots at the top right hand side of any folder and choose the permissions option. You can choose to block access for specific users within this folder or assign a permissions status (For example, Manager/Contributor).

How to change permissions within a specific dataset

Equally simple – head into your folder and choose the dataset that you’d like to make the changes to. Click the three dots in the top right corner and choose ‘permissions’. Here again you can decide whether someone has full permission to view this dataset, or specific access levels.
